We aim to use our energy and natural resources efficiently by respecting the environment, to continuously improve the work we have done with our sustainable energy management system that we prepared to increase the energy performance.
By following the innovations and developments in the sector and integrating the energy management system into every stage of our production, we aim to reach our targeted efficient consumption level and take a big step on sustainability.
Akın Hadde, thanks to the SPP (Solar Power Plants) investments it has made, produces 5 million kWh/year (equivalent to 1 year consumption of 1500 households) renewable energy and produces its steel using its own energy.
Water savings of approximately 6000 tons (equivalent to approximately 1 year's consumption of 300 households) are provided by developing and expanding the rainwater collection system, which was formed in the first years of establishment and by storing it in pools located in different parts of the facility to use them at different stages of production.
